THE AREA

Èze

Two places in one: the hill village and the low, discreet part.

Èze village is a tourist site. People come for the view and the exotic garden, rarely to live there. Èze-sur-Mer, below, is the opposite: direct access to the sea, a local station, and a handful of walled properties never seen from the road.

It is that lower part that interests our clients. The lower corniche between Èze and Cap-d'Ail holds fewer than twenty waterfront properties, and none has been built since 1960 — most transactions here concern pre-war stock.

Between the two, the middle corniche holds terraced plots, often planted with olive trees, where old farmhouses can be restored without being spoilt.
