THE AREA

Roquebrune-Cap-Martin

Low density, wide plots, and two borders a quarter of an hour away.

Cap-Martin has kept what other capes have lost: wide plots, few shared buildings, and private lanes. It is one of the few towns in the area where you can still buy land rather than a view.

Monaco is seven minutes away, the Italian border a quarter of an hour in the other direction. That double position interests a specific clientele: those who work in the Principality without wanting to live there, and those who travel regularly into Liguria.

The hill village of Roquebrune, separate from the cape, is a different market — smaller, older, with restoration constraints particular to medieval building stock.
